The king of all stretches: The Brettzel Stretch! To be clear... I'm not big on stretching. I never miss a workout but the yoga mat... not so much.
However, I am making a conscious effort to knock out one or two stretches per day. Ain't nobody got time for 30 minutes of stretches each day or not me at least.
So, if you're like me you want to get a lot of bang for your buck with the small amount of stretching you actually do. Enter... The Brettzel Stretch. This bad boy helps to mobilize the torso, hips, shoulders, and glutes. My goal is to do 60 seconds on each side per day and doing deep breathing throughout the stretch.
When to do this stretch: save static stretches like this for post-workout or right before bed!
